Now that Tesla has gotten the Tesla Model 3 somewhat in control, it looks like they are ready to move on to their next model, the Tesla Model Y.
According to InsideEVs, Elon Musk confirmed that the next electric model will be the electric crossover, Tesla Model Y. The vehicle will be sitting below the Model X and will be carrying over a lot of features from the Model 3.
The Tesla Model Y will be coming in to compete with models like the Jaguar I-Pace and Mercedes EQC. While no official announcement has been made by Tesla yet, it was reported that the model will reveal next March and that production will start in 2020.
The Tesla Model Y is expected to come with a $45k price tag which should be pretty attractive when compared to what their rivals are asking for their EV models. Hopefully, more details will be revealed soon.
