The Ford F-150 is not the loudest but people won’t really say that it is a quiet model but Ford is getting close to that as they announce that they will be using graphene in the near future.
Graphene is stronger than steel and is one of the most conductive materials in the world. It was reported that Ford has been working to incorporate it into the fuel rail covers, pump covers, and front engine covers which will allow them to reduce the noise by 17%.
The best part of it all is that graphene will also help reduce the weight of the vehicle instead of adding on to it which is what most noise reducing method would do. Ford added that they will be fitted their Ford F-150 and Ford Mustang with these graphene elements before 2018 ends. It will then make it to the rest of the Ford range.
