Ford will be making some major and minor changes to the 2020 Ford Explorer and while we will have to wait a little longer to see the Explorer makes its official debut, here are some of the details that we know about the upcoming model so far.
The 2020 Ford Explorer will be coming in as a new model but from what we can see, Ford will still be keeping some of the features like the design for a little longer. Parts that they did upgrade is the headlights which will now be a new set of LED headlights, new grille, updated bumper and more.
The vehicle will be riding on the CD6 rear-driver architecture that will support both rear and all-wheel drive with a longitudinally mounted engine.
Powering it could be the 2.3-liter turbo four engine, 3.3-liter V6 engine, 3.3-liter hybrid engine as well as a 3.0-liter V6 engine. All these engines will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
More will be revealed when Ford shows it off at the LA Auto Show.
