While the 2019 Toyota RAV4 made its appearance in the US earlier this year, those in Europe had to wait a little longer to see the Europe version of the RAV4. Besides offering the RAV4 model in Europe, Toyota also showed off the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid model at the Paris Auto Show this year.
Like the standard model, the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid will be coming in with the TNGA platform which will help keep the vehicle and center of gravity low. Toyota also added that the vehicle would be 57% more rigid now. The RAV4 will also be fitted with a double wishbone rear suspension that would allow it to have better handling and ride quality.
Powering the RAV4 Hybrid is a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force petrol engine that will be paired with two other electric motors which would allow the vehicle to deliver close to 219hp. The engine will also be mated to a CVT that Toyota made clear has been updated but did not explain further on what was improved. There is also a stick option for those looking for something a little more fun.
