We already knew that Jeep was working on a truck based on the Wrangler called the Scrambler. It will be sharing a lot of features and tech with the Wrangler but that is basically all that we know right now.
However, it looks like we might get to learn more about the vehicle soon as Car Magazine reported that Jeep will be at the LA Auto Show where they will be showing off their new 2019 Jeep Scrambler.
The late Sergio Marchionne did say that the Scrambler will be arriving early next year so it made sense that Jeep would want to show it off right now. The overall shape of the Scrambler will be similar to what the Wrangler has to offer but the Scrambler will have a unique four-door cab, custom hard top as well as the truck bed in the back.
The engine should match that the Wrangler has to offer now. We will have to wait and see if it will be coming with the 3.0 liter EcoDiesel V6 since the Wrangler is not offering that yet.
